About the Role

POSITION SUMMARY
The Data Specialist position supports FFRC’s leadership team, program staff, and evaluator in maintaining and managing the data systems at FFRC and is responsible for identifying efficient ways to organize, store, and analyze data with attention to quality improvement efforts, meeting program performance goals, and addressing program staff concerns. The Data Specialists provide recommendations about the methods by which data is obtained from various sources, interpret patterns and trends for quality improvement, and examine the efficiency of data systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
* Collect, analyze, and interpret data; report outcomes to leadership, program staff, and stakeholder groups
* Identify patterns and trends in data sets; define new data collection and analysis processes for quality improvement
* Generate reports and perform data extraction as needed
* Verify data by comparing it to source documents
* Manage databases, oversee data entry, and perform data entry as needed
* Support staff with data functions and daily use of data collection systems
* Collaborate with external consultants to optimize evaluation and data-driven efforts

**General Tasks and Responsibilities:**

* Actively participate in FFRC meetings in a positive, problem-solving manner
* Maintain professionalism in alignment with FFRC’s values and policies
* Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding agency records and documents
* Assist in developing programmatic reports for key stakeholders, including funders
* Develop and monitor regular outcome and evaluation measures for project goals
* Perform other program coordination, support, management, or administrative duties as assigned



COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is part-time, 20 hours per week. Part-Time (20 hours/week) – a future opportunity for Full Time with benefits depending on grant funding.

Compensation Range: $22,000 - $27,000 based on education and experience. This is a grant-funded position that is dependent on external funding. Therefore, continued employment is contingent upon the receipt of funding to cover this role.

This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-person attendance three days a week, with two work-from-home days. Your schedule will be determined by the needs of your participants and job requirements. Your calendar should reflect these days accordingly and be shared with your supervisor.

You must also be available to attend scheduled in-person events, office meetings, and check-ins, even if these fall outside your designated work-from-home days.

Normal business hours are Monday – Friday from 9 am – 5 pm. Occasional weekend/evening hours may be required.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in public health, computer science, information technology, or relevant field, or current enrollment in a relevant bachelor’s degree program.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Work experience in a database-oriented position.

  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions.

  • Familiarity with modern databases and information systems (Salesforce experience desired).

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Possess a tech-savvy, analytical mindset with advanced problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience in planning, implementing, managing, and timely completion of projects with multiple tasks.

  • Strong judgment, decision-making and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with others, including peers, internal and external managers, community groups, and other stakeholders.

  • Ability to document and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and projects, and to assess and change priorities based upon agency needs.

  • Strong skills working with ad-hoc and formal teams to accomplish positive results.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate degree in public administration, public health, computer science, or a relevant field.

  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
