Utility Assistance

Families Forward Resource Center is proud to partner with Energy Outreach Colorado to help Colorado residents maintain safe, comfortable, and stable homes through utility assistance support. We currently assist with utility bills for Xcel Energy, CORE Electric Cooperative, and United Power customers.

Our goal is to reduce the stress of unexpected or overdue energy costs by connecting families to the resources they need to keep their homes powered and warm.

Eligibility Requirements

​

To qualify for utility assistance, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Provide a valid photo ID, with the name on the ID matching the name on the utility bill.

  • Provide proof of payment for at least three utility bills within the past six months (these payments can be or partial or full payments).

Once eligibility is confirmed and documentation is verified, an appointment will be scheduled to complete the assistance process.

How to Get Started

To apply for utility assistance or learn more about available support:

  1. Gather your required documents — a valid ID and proof of three paid utility bills (within the past six months).

  2. Follow the button below to complete the form and upload your documents.

  3. After submitting the form, you’ll receive an email with instructions to schedule your appointment.
