About the Role

POSITION SUMMARY
Families Forward Resource Center (FFRC) is seeking a part time (10 hours/week) Community Consortium Co-Lead to support authentic community engagement with program participants and community members. The Community Consortium Co-Lead will partner with team members to engage in strategic planning, implementation, and improvement of community engagement efforts. The Community Consortium Co-Lead role requires a team member that is collaborative and driven to eliminate health disparities for the Black and African American community in perinatal health. The Community Consortium Co-Lead position is intended for a current or past participant of FFRC’s perinatal programming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
In collaborative supervision with the Consortium Development Manager, the Community Consortium Co-Lead will:

* Collaboratively identify opportunities for authentic community and participant engagement on the Consortium
* Identify opportunities for Consortium Quality Improvement
* Outreach and engage program participants and community members
* Co-lead and lead discussions with the Community Consortium
* Identify and implement opportunities to address topics discussed during Consortium meetings and strategic planning
* Engage in quality improvement efforts, including collaboration with the evaluation team
* Participate in regular reflective supervision, staff meetings, and staff development trainings


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation: $20,000 per year (10 hours/week) This is a grant-funded position that is dependent on external funding, therefore continued employment is contingent upon the receipt of funding to cover this role.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • Previous or current experience as a program participant in FFRC’s perinatal services.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Dedication to health equity and improving maternal and infant health in the Black and African American community.

  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Compassionate relationship management with organizational partners, program participants, and community members.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekend hours.
